Musical Venues

In addition to performances at one or another Guise residence, 1670-1688, in addition to performances at court or in the theater, and in addition to his compositions for the Jesuits, several venues made available to Charpentier by his patrons have been identified:

Churches for which he composed

1672: Charpentier's collaboration with Molière, a re-reading of the evidence

1679: M. de Riants Commissions an Opera

Charles Le Brun, who commissioned music by Charpentier  (Le Brun may have had village ties to Charpentier's  family.)
