The "Roman" cahiers for 1673
The notebooks for this year chiefly take the form of pieces for the
first version of the Malade
imaginaire. Notebook "I" clearly dates from this period, for
it is made of the same paper as notebooks XV-XVII. (That this paper does
not appear in the French series, suggests that it was paid for or provided
by Molière.)
