Note: Marc-Antoine Charpentier is also a rose. Here is the "portrait" of the first Charpentier rose to bloom in my "Charpentier garden" at Panat. It was created for the Tercentenary of 2004 and was inspired by Charpentier's "La Couronne de fleurs." And in the foreground of this photo, 2012, the Charpentier roses are blooming lustily, within the orbit of the lys de France at the left:
