opening page of Patricia's "Musings" The Carmel on the rue du Bouloy Madame de Guise was very close to the Queen and frequently went with her to the Carmelite convent on the rue du Bouloy (or Bouloir). Charpentier composed music for a memorial service held there in December 1683.
